  10. Summary/Evaluation

I wasn’t sure what the ‘default’ ending would be, i.e. what ending would be reached first most frequently. Most got the ‘stop here’ ending on their first try, so I know to make that route more interesting and give them more to do, as it is a relatively short one. Overall, players thought the endings were interesting but not necessarily rewarding - good mystery but not enough consistent payoff on each route. This is probably because I have many branching routes and endings, so some reach dead ends too quickly. I should create more clues and scatter them on the more neglected routes. A minority thought there was sometimes too much text, so I can cut down. Players most enjoyed the mysterious narrative, but some thought it was too ambiguous or confusing. This ties into the lack of reward they experienced, so I should flesh out backstory more and put it in the game. Overall, players had a good experience and would recommend it to a friend.
