Art 007 is a collaborative course co-taught by Elena Bertozzi, Professor of Game Design and Development at Quinnipiac University, and Sarah Stevens-Morling, Assistant Dean for Communications and Digital Media at Yale School of Art. Students will learn:

  1. An overview of digital tools for art and game making
  2. Critical engagement with games, play, and making
  3. The process and production of creating a compelling interactive narrative or playable prototype of an analog or digital game.

Play

What is play? Why do we play? How can we create compelling play experiences? These are some of the questions we will explore in this class.

Assignments

The purpose of these assignments is to learn how to turn a critical and creative lens on play. You have always played... now you will learn to critique games and play so you can build your own.
