Little Italy

By Brady Hornburg

Intro

Stories are passed down from generation to generation until they become legends. The stories of the elderly shape are the heartbeat of the past and they will stop beating when no one is left to tell them. The story of Wooster Square and the Italian-American population is one that is fading. Through the retelling of stories the history of Wooster Square will have a pulse for years to come.

Background

You are a second generation immigrant from Italy. You were born in 1939 and grew up in Wooster Square when it was a hot spot for the Italian-American community. An old friend of yours recently died and you came back to Connecticut to attend the funeral. On your way home from the funeral you stopped for a couple of days in New Haven. While you were there you decided to take a walk down memory lane and reminisce about your youth, and the changes that time has brought to your childhood home.
