In the end, the thing I value most in this class is the breadth of the topics discussed. It was a fantastic opportunity to explore the creation of a game from the very beginning all the way to the end. I will continue to think back on each of the creative steps we took when planning future projects since it taught me so much about what actually building a game entails. Additionally, it allowed me to become acquainted with all of the different tools necessary for planning a game which enables me to move forward. Hopefully, in the future, I can use the skills developed in this class to create a much more interesting game. Although I am proud of the game I created, it is really just a stepping stone which has familiarized me with the subject.
I found that, throughout the semester, my ideas and wants for the game changed drastically. I really think that this was a great environment for this to happen though. Even though I ended up almost completely changing my story near the end of the semester, I was still able to receive feedback and encouragement from my peers and teachers.
