At the end of the semester you will write an essay that assesses your work and progress in the class. You should integrate the readings (citations should be in APA format), critiques of and by others and your observations on other students' work.
This is a seminar class which means that attendance and participation are vital. Using class computers or cellphones for social media or other non-relevant uses during class is disrespectful and will result in a significantly lowered grade. The production and discussion of creative work is a large part of this class. Any work or criticism that is offensive or that constitutes harassment of a racial, sexual, ethnic, or religious nature will result in a failing grade.
